Hattha Kaksekar Limited Organized the 23rd General Assembly Under the Theme of “Digitalization”
Siem Reap - February 07, 2020: Hattha Kaksekar Limited (HKL) is recognized one of the leading microfinance institutions in Cambodia, organized the 23rd General Assembly under the theme of “Digitalization” in Siem Reap. The event was attended by shareholders, chairman, member of board of directors, senior management and outstanding performance staff of HKL totally around 400 participants.
The annual general assembly was organized in the purpose to celebrate all the achievements in 2019 and present the strategic plans, targets and operational plan of 2020. More importantly, this event also wants to show the gratitude to HKL staff for all the hard working to bring enormous achievements, to make a commitment to reach the new target of 2020, and it also includes the team building session for HKL staff from all branches and offices to strengthen the relationships and collaboration.
Oknha Hout leng Tong, President & CEO of HKL said, “2019 was a very prosperous year because of the total deposit balance, loan portfolio, and total net income achieved over the operational plan”. He added, “in 2020 HKL will mark another milestone therefore, all senior managements and staff have to improve their skills related to new technology in order to fulfilled the customers’ needs and serve customers more effectively”. He also highlighted the achievements as of December 2019 including, as the loan portfolio achieved at $1,051 million, total deposit balance reached at $599 million, total net income achieved at $28.90 million, and most importantly, PAR30+ stayed as low as 0.37% which was a very impressive result.
Mr. Dan Harsono, Chairman of HKL said, “I would like to thanks all the senior managements and staff for all the achievements that you have made in 2019”. He added, “as I have been working with HKL for more than 3 years, I am very optimistic in HKL because of the managements and the people are very talented, potential, strong, and full of capacity. I strongly believe that HKL will get the tremendous achievement in 2020”. “One of the main goals that Krungsri joins with HKL is willing to develop the economy of Cambodia and transform HKL into the leading commercial bank in the future”, he added.
Mr. Seiichiro Akita, President and CEO of Krungsri Bank, HKL’s parent bank, was very happy to join the 23rd General Assembly and also showed his appreciation to all the board of directors and senior management to bring the remarkable achievements for HKL. He said, “First of all I would like to thanks the board of directors especially Oknha Hout Ieng Tong for leading HKL to become an outstanding as today. I believe that these great achievements which were involved with the hard work, dedication and providence from all of you”. He added, “MUFG which is the largest commercial bank in Japan and Krungsri of Thailand have a vision and firm commitment to develop countries in CLMV such as, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and other Asian countries and I believe that HKL will be the strongest financial institution in the kingdom along with the reputation of Krungsri and MUFG”. He added, “Today I understand the theme is “Digitalization” and in this world digitalization is inevitable in any industries or sectors, so the digitalization has to be improved to provide the outstanding services to the customers”. “I believe in the future HKL will overcome any challenges and achieve more accomplishments” he added Hattha Kaksekar Limited has been operating in Cambodia for more than 26 years to provide the exceptional financial services to the customers.
