Hattha Kaksakar Limited Strongly Withstands in the Market during COVID-19 Epidemic

Phnom Penh – April 06, 2020: Hattha Kaksekar Limited (HKL), the second-largest microfinance institution in Cambodia with more than 26-year experience has been serving its customers with excellent customer care and continuing in expanding its financial services.    

Through extensive experience in the financial services, HKL has extended its micro loans from 4 communes of Pursat province and continued to grow and served the exceptional financial services to meet customers’ needs along with 177 branches across the country. As a result, as of December 2019, the loan portfolio reached $1,051 million and a total deposit balance reached $599 million with more than 350,000 customers.
Furthermore, HKL is a subsidiary of Bank of Ayudhya Public Limited Company (Krungsri) which is the fifth-largest commercial bank in Thailand with more than 75-year experience, and a member of MUFG Bank, which is the largest banking group in Japan, and also one of the largest and most diversified financial groups in the world. Krungsri has a very long-term vision and a strong commitment to build HKL as the strongest and leading microfinance institution in Cambodia.

Over the past two decades in the financial market along with the strongest support and commitment from the shareholder, customers, and all the level of authorities, particularly the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) which led HKL strongly withstands in the market by gaining more secure and trust from deposit customers.
Even if during the transition of the COVID-19 outbreak that most people concern about, HKL still commits to serve customers with the best quality of services. Moreover, shortly HKL will change its name and logo to increase brand recognition as well as a financial service consumption
In addition, HKL will update the existing and develop new financial products in expanding the financial services to serve the customers’ needs and secure the deposit balance of customers.  At the same time, HKL is continuing to enhance the operational channels to be more efficient and convenient for the customer to make financial transactions via Hattha Mobile, ATMs and Wing Agents.
